Spreaders and Spreading Tables

Infinity 888 Spreader

The INFINITY spreader range is fitted with state-of-the-art technology and is governed by software applications developed by Caledonia Engineering that make it practical and user-friendly.

The special design of the closed-loop electronics and the EtherCAT protocol technology guarantee the highest level of efficiency in the management of data among all devices and the possibility of including the machine in an Industry 4.0 production cycle. The use of the absolute encoder ensures that the machine position is maintained and that the work cycle can be re-started even after a power failure.

Characteristics

  • INFINITY has a cradle turret with a double tilting surface in PVC, which guarantees uniform transport over the entire width of the fabric.
  • The dancing roller is electronically controlled by a system that guarantees the ideal tension of the fabric in real time during spreading.
  • Infinity is programmed from a Touch Screen monitor with a user-friendly software interface, allowing the operator to monitor all the functions of the work cycle in real time, by means of a detailed spreading report

Use

  • INFINITY can work with rolls of fabric with selvedge width of between 160 and 240 cm, a weight of up to 100 kg and diameter of 80 cm, with a spreading speed of up to 100 m/min.
  • It produces layers of up to 25 cm in height (with H plus version), maintaining the compact and ergonomic structure designed to make the operator’s work comfortable.
  • This model is suitable for the production of flat or stepped layers with fixed or random origin, with different types of fabrics, allowing different spreading modes to be stored: half sheet / face to face / zig-zag (without replacing the cutting unit).

Standard spreading table

Of the various types of spreading tables, this is the simplest. Made of 2 m long modules, it has a robust cut, folded and powder-coated steel structure, with adjustable height work surface.

The work surface is made of laminated wood with specially treated, 30 mm thick beech-wood edging. The machine’s sliding tracks are made with specific materials and geometries that make them wear-resistant and extremely quiet when the machine is running.

Blower Table

This particular type of table allows for greater manoeuvrability and easier movement of the fabric layers. The laminated wood surface with beech-wood edging is specifically drilled to allow the air generated by a turbine fan motor, with which each module is equipped, to flow and, thanks to the table’s air chamber structure, the layers are lighter and smoother to move.

The blower table has side tracks that allow the spreader to be moved.

Conveyor Table

This type of spreader table has a similar structure to traditional tables, with the incorporation of conveyor belts that guarantee automated handling of the fabric layers, eliminating the need for operators to move them. They also offer great precision in the cutting of the fabric, which is not subject to deformations that can be caused during manual movement by operators.

Characteristics

  • Movement of the fabric layers is facilitated by the conveyor belts and deformations are avoided.

Sliding Table

This type of table consists of a module that can accommodate the spreader and then move it over several table lines.

This solution improves productivity, significantly reducing downtime.
